Light and Darkness
My final project,Shenkar College of Engineering and Design

A series of 5 woven blankets featuring scenes from the Armenian mythology. My lack of familiarity with the Armenian side of my family spurred me to explore this culture. Blankets are a representation of a house wrapped in warmth and love: just as a parent reads to his child a bedtime story, so too does this household item tell a story through which the gap between distant cultures can be bridged.
